How We Improved Shot Selection
One of the challenges we faced early on with this group was improving their shot selection, especially in regards to taking contested threes. We used the Shot Analysis tool to track and measure shot types and attributes. The screenshot below shows the percentages and amounts for various degrees of contested shots. You can see how contested shots were much worse than any other shot types from the highlighted area.
How We Showed Progress
Another way to help players see improvements is with the Trends tool. This shows you how each player progresses in any of 30+ statistical categories. We challenged Alex to become a better rebounder, and you can see how he responded over the AAU season:
